Wenman School Home Page

Welcome to the Wenman School web pages.  These web pages form an informal site created by ex-school students - particularly 'the Class of '69' - this being the year most of us in this little group left the school.

The Wenman School was opened in 1960 and flourished (!) until it was amalgamated with Lord Williams Grammar School (affectionally known from now on 'Lord Bills') whereupon The Wenman School lost its name and disappeared into the anals of history in July 1971.  Even that is a moot point as records on the school are sketchy to say the least.

My thanks to Mike Roberts, Mervyn Smith and Roy Barrett for their help and support in providing the information to get the site up and running.  As of October 2011 it is under development so, slowly, slowly these pages will grow containing more information about the school in general and, once we've complied with the Data Protection Act and provided you with a secure login, have a contact page for the Class of '69 to stay in touch.

We look forward to seeing the Class of '69 electronically getting together again making it easier for us to organise reunions or even informal get-togethers.

Our thanks and acknowledgement go to Michael Plant for his help and support in the creation of these web pages.
